Dead Man Running

100,000 pounds in 24 hours - that is the almost impossible task facing London ex-crook Nick when loan shark Thigo (US rapper '50 Cent') comes all the way from the USA to make an example of Nick. The ex-con had recently given up his life as a crook to run his own travel agency in London. Instead of cozy travel tips, there is now a chase through London's underworld, in which Nick and his buddy Bing somehow try to make money - with illegal fistfights, betting manipulation and even a robbery "Dead man walking" is an US-term for inmates that have been put on death row and attend their last walk to the execution site. Nick is definitely a "Dead Man Running" for Mr. Thigo. He threatens to kill the debtor's beloved, wheelchair-bound mother, if Nick doesn't turn up with the money in time. Alex de Rakoff's actioner follows in the footsteps of Guy Ritchie's gangster comedies with time-honored but tried-and-tested ingredients: hard-hitting action, a revved-up soundtrack and hard-boiled dialogue, delivered by a powerful cast.
