Snowpiercer

The earth in the near future: eternal ice and snow cover the once so green planet. No life is stirring. Only a train travelling lonely through the deserted snowy landscape still offers the surviving humans protection from the deadly cold. Here they have found their last refuge. But the mass of the remaining humanity ekes out a life in eternal darkness in the back of the train, while in the front the few rich passengers revel in luxury. But the signs are pointing to change. A revolution is imminent ... SNOWPIERCER (based on the graphic novel SCHNEEKREUZER by Jacques Lob, Benjamin Legrand and Jean-Marc Rochette) is best science fiction cinema: stirring, clever and visually impressive. Cult director Bong Joon-ho (THE HOST, MEMORY OF MURDER, PARASITE) was able to gather a great international cast. The leading roles are played by Chris Evans (CAPTAIN AMERICA), Tilda Swinton (MICHAEL CLAYTON), John Hurt (ALIEN), Ed Harris (A HISTORY OF VIOLENCE), Jamie Bell (KING KONG) and Song Kang-ho (THE HOST).
