Mini Series | Episode 12: Little ship pajama pants / The seahorse race

Janoschs Traumstunde

Family/Book adaptation, Germany 1986

Little ship pajama pants It's about the very special little ship of a little girl from Paris. She often goes with her aunt to the lake in the park to let the little ship float, but among all the big and biggest model ships the little ship looks quite lost. So the girl throws the ship into the gutter. A big rain washes it into the Seine to the two clochards Pupule and Pomidore. They take it out of the water and begin to take possession of the ship in their imagination as captain and sailor. The ship grows before their eyes until it is the largest and most beautiful ship on the Seine. Pupule and Pomidore weigh anchor and sail off into the distance. The little girl recognizes her ship, but by then it is almost out of sight. The seahorse race One day a street vendor comes by. He sells all kinds of things. But Popov is only interested in something wonderful. He gets something from the sea - shells, through which he can understand the language of fishermen. Of course, Popov immediately wants to go to the sea. He flies off. After a long flight he reaches the sea. He goes under the surface of the sea, because old men who can fly can go around under water as they do above on the earth. Popov discovers that you can't talk to fish about flying and still watches a seahorse race where the slowest seahorse wins. Popov bets the perch two hundred flies and three hundred water fleas, but before he can collect his winnings, the perch makes a run for it.
